These live on engine.maine.gov. This is where you join a community of practice, post to a forum, and browse resources other Maine educators have shared.
Go to engine.maine.govCourses, learning opportunities, and contact hours
These live on learn.moodle.rrev-engine.com. This is where you enroll in professional learning, work through activities, and track completion.

Account & sign-in
- Go to engine.maine.gov/user/register.
- Complete the form using your school or district email address.
- Watch for a confirmation email and follow the link inside it.
EnGiNE is for Maine educators and school staff. Use your work email rather than a personal address so we can confirm your role.
Not a Maine educator? School community partners can join EnGiNE and take part in certain learning modules, trainings, and portals. Sign up and check the Community Member box — an EnGiNE admin will review your account.
- Check your spam and junk folders. School mail filters catch these routinely.
- Search your mailbox for EnGiNE in case the message was filed automatically.
-
Ask your district IT team to allow mail from
learn.moodle.rrev-engine.comandengine.maine.gov. This is the most common fix.
Still nothing? Contact support and include the email address you registered with and your school or district.
- From the sign-in page, select Forgot password?
- Enter the email address on your account.
- Open the reset link that arrives by email.
- Choose a new password.
Work through these in order:
- Use the EnGiNE sign-in link — sign-in is handled through the Maine.gov login, so you'll be redirected there to enter your credentials.
- Confirm the email address matches the one you registered with.
- Reset your password using the steps above.
- Clear cookies for the site and try again.
- Try a different browser.
If none of that works, contact support.
Contact us and we'll update your profile for you. Email changes are made by hand so your account stays connected to everything you've already done on EnGiNE.
Send us a message and include:
- The email address currently on your EnGiNE account
- Your new email address
- Your new school or district
Send the request from your new work email if you can. If you've already lost access to your old district account, say so in the message and we'll work it out with you.
- Open your profile settings.
- Drag an image into the picture field, or select it to browse.
- Save your changes.
Around 200 by 200 pixels works well. PNG or JPG, under 2 MB.
Courses & contact hours
Browse the course catalog and open the experience you want. Different experiences enroll in different ways — the course page shows which one applies:
- Self-enrollment — just click Enroll. Nothing else needed.
- Enrollment key — some experiences require a key, which you'll get from a Maine DOE staff person. If the experience is open, the key requirement is listed right on the course.
Once you're enrolled, the experience appears on your dashboard.
Not every experience is eligible for contact hours — if you're unsure, check with Maine DOE staff. Most experiences list the number of contact hours in the course details.
To see what you've completed, go to your EnGiNE profile and:
- Click My certificates to view completed certificates.
- Check My EnGiNE Experiences for everything you're enrolled in.
Each course on your dashboard shows a progress indicator. Open the course to see which activities are complete.
Your grades across all courses are on the grades overview.
Community spaces
- Community forums gather educators around a shared practice area. Open discussion, announcements, questions to the wider community.
- Collaboration groups are smaller working groups where members share progress and build things together. Anyone can create a collaboration group — that's a key difference from forums.
- Shared resources is the library of materials Maine educators have contributed.
- Go to engine.maine.gov/community-forums.
- Click Enroll on the forum you want to join.
Content pending. Needs the real contribution and review flow.
Yes. Select an educator's name, then Send message. Your conversations are in messages.
Technical
EnGiNE works in current versions of Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Safari. Keeping your browser updated avoids most display problems.
- Refresh past the cache:
Ctrl+Shift+Ron Windows,Cmd+Shift+Ron Mac. - Clear cookies for the site and reload.
- Open the page in a private window.
- Turn off script- or ad-blocking extensions for EnGiNE.
Still broken? Take a screenshot and contact support with the address of the page and the browser you're using.
- School network filters block some media sources. Try from off the school network, or ask your IT team to allow it.
- A muted tab. Browsers show a small speaker icon on the tab when it's muted.
- An old browser. Update and try again.
Tell us and we'll fix it. Contact support with the page address and what you were trying to do.
