What is EnGiNE?

Developed by the Maine Department of Education as part of the RREV initiative, EnGiNE is an online hub designed to engage innovation in education across Maine. With a growing library of curriculum resources, professional learning modules, and tools for collaboration, EnGiNE empowers Maine educators to share and develop creative solutions to 21st-century learning challenges.

EnGiNE provides educators with a unique platform: one where professional theory meets real-world practice to drive stronger outcomes for learners all across Maine.

Innovation by Maine Educators, for Maine Students

A hallmark of the EnGiNE experience, Communities of Practice (COPs) connect Maine educators with shared challenges and complementary areas of expertise. COP members from Aroostook to York can build networks around practice areas and learner needs in which to share resources, exchange ideas, pilot programs, and implement innovative solutions alongside their peers.

About RREV

Rethinking Responsive Education Ventures (RREV) is an initiative of the Maine Department of Education funded through the US Department of Education's Rethink K–12 Education models.

RREV aims to bolster Maine educators' creative efforts to support students with agile, effective, and resilient learning experiences that improve outcomes for all students.

RREV supports strategies and approaches designed to create, implement, and take to scale field-initiated educational models for responsive learning, defined as student-centered educational or instructional programming that occurs within or outside of the classroom.
